Africa advocating for Africanyouth to be empowered economically

AkolNyokAkolDok was crowned Mister Africa International
in London on October 2016 and inspired Africans around the world through his
intelligence, looks, charisma and vision for empowering Africa youth as means
to economic and social development. Mister Africa International is hosted and
organized by the prominent African agency House of Twitch.
Akol continues to be a youth leader and advocate of youth
empowerment. Akol is currently representing youth as a part of the South Sudan
Investment Road Show led by South Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and
International Cooperation, Honorable Nhial Deng Nhial.
The South Sudan Investment Road Show commenced in
Washington DC on April 11th 2019 at the prestigious Willard
Continental Hotel in Washington DC.
At the event in New York City at the Pennisula Hotel,
Mister Africa International 2016 AkolNyokAkolDok spoke about how private sector
and economic empowerment lift people out of poverty and prevent conflicts.
“If youth are provided with the necessary means to
produce for themselves they won’t engage in violent activities. If youth from
different communities are trading and have a mutual interest it’s against their
interest to fight each other. The development of South Sudan and Africa as a
whole must be spearheaded by the private sector.”
Mister Africa impressed the crowd with his eloquence and
continued by saying that instead of foreign aid Africa needs foreign
investments and partnerships.
Akol closed by saying “foreign investments and
partnerships must help African resources to benefit African people”
Mister Africa will continue with the high level
delegation to Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Johannesburg, South Africa.
